This blog is in need of a big update!!
We have been very busy recently - we have been making the most of the British summer. That has meant alot of flying and lots of opportunities for photos and videos.
You may have noticed the portfolio on Horizon AP has been updated with a selection of the latest photos and videos.
We have been shooting mostly buildings within the local area. A particualr highlight for me was Blauwearie - an abandoned (now unfortunately ruined) Farm House on Old Bewick Moor. It has crags nearby and old out houses, we were very lucky with the weather when we went up there - crystal clear skies - the only drawback was landscape shots suffered from the haze affect.
Another afternoon was spent taking photo's of a local holiday cottage by the Old Bewick Sawmill - we are very pleased with these shots - they are a great example of showing the beautiful surroundings from a perspective not usually seen.
We have some more projects lined up - sports and equestrian events. We are going to put our video production skills to the test!
Another development since the last post is the acquisition of some new equipment. Jack had been researching Multirotor Craft for a while and we decided to try and make our own - using Jack's own frame design and some modular flight controllers (we went with the HoverFly chipset - plug and play - so no soldering chip sets!).
After a month or so of testing and tweaking it is now working great with a custom built camera gimbal that allows for full 360 - 3 axis control.
Look out for our first demo reel from the drone this coming weekend.
That brings us upto date with Horizon AP's ongoings - if you have a project or property that could benefit from some Aerial Photo's - why not get in touch? We are more than happy to talk through what we can help you to achieve.
I look forward to speaking to you soon!
Cheers,
Paddy
